After completing his Abitur at the Gymnasium Olching in Upper Bavaria, Stefan Neunzig trained as a bank clerk. This was followed by military service with the paratroopers in Starnberg. He then studied business administration at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich, specialising in tax law and auditing, completing his degree with a dissertation on the tax-neutral restructuring of companies through contributions in kind and share exchanges.
He gained his professional experience at various tax consultancy and audit firms, including the last eleven years as an independent partner. Since 1 March 2012, Dipl.-Kfm. Stefan Neunzig has practised in his own firm at Ludwigstr. 27 in Bad Reichenhall.
The focus of his professional work includes the comprehensive advisory support of his medium-sized clients, ranging from sole traders to public limited companies. Throughout, the client and their interests always remain at the centre. His clients can expect not only reliability, qualification and technical expertise, but also forward-looking, tax-optimised advice on structuring. Dipl.-Kfm. Stefan Neunzig therefore concentrates his professional work on optimised advice regarding assets and succession within income and inheritance tax law, as well as on corporate structuring under conversion and reorganisation tax law (changes of legal form, demergers, mergers and contributions in kind) in both a national and an international context.
After completing his Abitur at the Karlsgymnasium in Bad Reichenhall, Christoph Neunzig began studying business administration at the University of Regensburg, which he pursued alongside his work at the firm. After obtaining his bachelor's degree, he specialised at master's level in financial management and tax law and was admitted to the University of Regensburg's Honors elite master's programme. In spring 2020, Christoph Neunzig completed his studies in Regensburg as the second-best graduate of his year.
During a period abroad at Murray State University in the USA, he also obtained the American degree in business administration, the Master of Business Administration (MBA), in summer 2019. Since May 2020, Dr. Neunzig has worked as a research associate at the Chair of Business Taxation held by StB Prof. Dr. Sebastian Schanz at the University of Bayreuth.
Alongside his work, he sat the tax advisor examination and was appointed a tax advisor in early summer 2022. Following the successful defence of his doctoral thesis, he was awarded his doctorate (Dr. rer. pol.) at the University of Bayreuth in April 2025. In addition, he was appointed a Specialist Advisor for International Tax Law in August 2025.
During his studies, Dr. Neunzig was a scholarship holder of the Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes (German Academic Scholarship Foundation) / Max Weber Programme, and he remains associated with the foundation as a voluntary member of the selection committee for new scholarship holders. He has also been a visiting lecturer at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University in Heilbronn for several years, as well as the author of numerous publications in leading specialist journals (Steuer und Wirtschaft, Deutsches Steuerrecht).
Since 2022, Dr. Christoph Neunzig has been a partner at Neunzig & Partner and, alongside his specialist advisory work, has focused on developing and integrating digital, client-oriented solutions that help future-proof the direction of a business regardless of its size.
His focus lies on individual, comprehensive advice - particularly on VAT and international matters - with the aim of creating tangible added value for small and medium-sized clients.

After studying law at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich, I began practising as a lawyer in Trostberg in 1992. In 2006/2007, I gained the additional qualifications of 'Specialist Lawyer for Family Law' and 'Mediator'. From 2008, I was a partner in the firm 'Herrmann – Groll-Nagel – Starke' in Bad Reichenhall.
Besides general civil law, my main areas of work are all questions relating to family, inheritance and insurance law. In addition, drawing on the further qualification I obtained in 2015, I offer strategic coaching and support to aspiring and practising colleagues. Elisabeth Pohli
Tax Advisor, Sworn Auditor
In February 1980, Elisabeth Pohli completed her vocational training as a tax clerk (Steuerfachangestellte) at a renowned tax firm in Schweinfurt with top marks and, after the requisite period of practical experience, went on to train for two years as a financial accountant. In November 1983, she passed the examination to become a certified financial accountant with great success.
She then worked in tax consultancy at various tax firms in Schweinfurt, Chieming and Bad Reichenhall before passing the tax advisor examination in February 1991 and being appointed to the profession by the Steuerberaterkammer München (Munich Chamber of Tax Advisors). Frau Pohli subsequently spent sixteen years working for a subsidiary of Ernst & Young AG in the fields of auditing and tax consultancy. In 2002, Frau Pohli gained a further professional qualification by passing the professional examination as a sworn auditor, allowing her since then to work as an auditor in addition to providing classic tax consultancy.
From mid-2007, Frau Pohli established herself as an independent freelance professional in Bad Reichenhall, and since August 2021 she has strengthened the team at Neunzig & Partner as part of a shared-office arrangement.
